Like Dayne Crist, tight end Mike Ragone could follow Charlie Weis to Kansas.
Weis recruited Ragone, who was a freshman with the Irish in 2007 and remained at South Bend through last season. Staying healthy has not come easy, however. The tight end tore an ACL in 2008 missed the entire season. Last season on Sept. 10 against Michigan, Ragone again tore an ACL and was sidelined for the duration. Because he missed virtually two full seasons, Ragone has a year of eligibility remaining and, as a graduate, may transfer to Kansas where he could play immediately. Ragone is primarily a blocking tight end with only 11 career receptions.
