The Washington Post confirms that foot specialists have informed free agent SS LaRon Landry he "needs" Achilles' tendon surgery.
The Washington Times had a report on this a few weeks ago. Landry doesn't want to have surgery, and he appears to be taking a sizable risk that rest and rehab will fix the heel problems. It's clearly against doctors' orders. The Redskins seem likely to part ways with Landry this offseason, particularly if he's not amenable to accepting a low-risk, short-term contract.
